Super Absorbent Fiber is a fibrous material with extremely strong moisture absorption capacity developed by British Technical Absorbent Products Limited (TAL). SAF polymers are first dried and solidified to form filaments, then cooled and cut into short fibers of a range of lengths. SAF™ quickly absorbs 200 times its own weight in water and 60 times its own weight in salt water and is used worldwide in a wide range of applications such as medical, electrical cables, food packaging, hygiene, clothing and filtration.
