The most prominent advantage of glass fiber is high temperature resistance, can be used at high temperature of 260ºC-280ºC, and has good dimensional stability and high tensile strength, which is more than twice that of synthetic fiber filter media. In terms of chemical corrosion resistance, except for strong acids such as hydrofluoric acid and high temperature and strong alkali, it is very stable to other media, but its disadvantages are poor folding resistance and wear resistance. It cannot be used for the purification of flue gas from industrial kilns where fluorite or HF acid is present in smelting.
